condo sales up

Existing condominium
sales in the Panama City
area rose 35 percent in
the second quarter of
2007, according to
statistics released
Wednesday by the Florida
Association of Realtors.
Realtors sold
147 existing
condominiums in the
second quarter of 2007,
compared to 109 in the
same quarter of 2006.
The increase is the
highest in the state,
according to the
statistics. Statewide,
existing condo sales
fell 25 percent.
Existing area home sales
rose by one home in the
quarter, with 405 homes
sold compared to 404 in
the second quarter of
2006.
The median sales price
for an existing home
dropped 5 percent in the
quarter, to $202, 300.
For existing area
condominiums, the median
sales price fell 16
percent, to $269,400.
